Bani and the Three Crossing Lanterns

On the way to the park, Bani reached a striped crossing. His ball waited beyond it, but Bani stayed on the pavement.

He stopped back from the curb where drivers could see him clearly.

Bani looked left, right and left again. His big ears also listened for traffic.

The walking signal changed only after cars stopped. Bani still checked the road once more.

He held the wing of a trusted adult Stork. Young travellers cross more safely with an adult.

They walked straight and calmly over the stripes, without running or looking at toys.

A ball rolled into the road, but Bani did not chase it. Stork made the situation safe and retrieved it.

At the park Bani taught the sequence: stop, curb, look, signal, adult and calm crossing.
