Story 17 · Body Signals 4+
Bani and the Body Signal Station
≈ 5 min read
At the Station, glowing Heart, Lungs, Stomach and Muscles greeted Bani. “We send signals; you can learn to notice them.”
After running, his heart beat faster, breathing quickened and cheeks warmed. Rest returned them to their usual rhythm.
A dry mouth signalled thirst. Bani drank water before he became very tired.
A quiet rumble meant hunger. Colourful food gave energy, and eating slowly helped Bani notice when he felt full.
Heavy paws requested a pause. Rest is part of movement, not a prize after complete exhaustion.
Before something new, worry tightened his tummy. Slow breathing and a trusted adult nearby helped it settle.
When his paw hurt, Bani told Stork straight away. Pain should not be hidden; an adult can help decide what to do.
The Station glowed. Bani did not fear body signals: he listened, responded with care and asked for help.
