Bani and the Recycling Dragon

Green Dragon sneezed out a heap of mixed rubbish. “I tried to recycle everything together, and the materials became tangled.”

Bani separated paper, glass, metal and food scraps. Different materials need different journeys.

First he chose a reusable bottle and bag. The best waste is the waste we never create.

Clean paper and cardboard went together. Bani prepared used packaging according to local rules.

He sorted glass and metal with an adult; sharp or heavy objects are not a child’s job.

Vegetable scraps entered compost and slowly became soil rich enough to feed plants.

The friends repaired a torn teddy. Reuse saved both the toy and the resources needed for another.

Dragon stopped sneezing. Bani remembered: reduce, reuse, then sort according to the rules where you live.
